Most "chat-based" products ask you to upload your WhatsApp export and then promise to handle it carefully. We took a different approach: your chat never reaches us in the first place. The analyzer runs entirely in your browser. You curate the moments. We only ever see what you explicitly approve.

How to confirm zero uploads, step-by-step
- Open /analyzer/ in Google Chrome (or any modern browser).
- Press

.txtexport onto the page. - Watch the Network tab. It stays empty. The analyzer makes zero network requests during parsing.
- Bonus: click the Sources tab — you can read every line of code that just ran. There's nothing hidden.

For customers who want the richest possible output and are comfortable trusting our automated pipeline, the Full Analysis Path gives us access to your complete conversation history. Here's exactly what happens — technically, not just in policy language.

An automated script runs immediately. It's the same
analyze_chat.py pipeline that powers the browser analyzer — same redaction logic, same sensitive-content detection. No human reads the raw chat.3
The script outputs a structured analysis file — top quotes across the full timeline, every milestone date, relationship arc, emoji stats, recurring motifs, tone patterns. This is what we use for design. The raw chat is no longer needed.

The raw chat is deleted within 24 hours of the analysis running — not 24 hours of delivery, but 24 hours of analysis. We keep only the structured JSON output, not the source.

Akshay (only) designs your cards from the structured analysis. He never opens the raw chat file — by the time he works on your order, it's already deleted.

The analysis JSON is deleted within 24 hours of delivery. "DELETE MY DATA" triggers immediate purge of both if somehow either still exists.
Why it produces better output: the manifest path gives us ~11–16% of your chat (the moments you hand-picked). The Full Analysis Path gives us 100%. We can find the quote from 3 years ago you forgot about. We can chart how your relationship changed tone over time. We can surface the milestone you didn't think to include but is clearly important. The cards go from "great" to "how did you find THAT moment?"
The constraint: this path requires you to trust that our automated pipeline does what we say and that Akshay doesn't read the raw file. We can't make that verifiable in a browser the way the analyzer can. What we can offer: the written promise above, the "DELETE MY DATA" kill-switch, and the fact that this business depends entirely on customer trust — we would not survive a single privacy violation.
Frequently asked
Can the analyzer code change later and start uploading my chat?
The analyzer is hosted on GitHub Pages from a public repo. Every code change is visible in commit history. You can also save the page to your computer (Ctrl+S) and use that local copy forever — it'll always be the version you saved, even if we update the live site. The Network tab is the live truth: if it's empty, no upload happened.
What if I have OTPs, passwords, or bank info in my chat?
The analyzer auto-detects these and pre-unchecks them with a 🔒 badge. Specifically: phone numbers (Indian + international), emails, URLs, the keywords password / OTP / UPI / bank / account / card / login / PIN / address, and long numeric strings. You'd have to manually approve them — and even then we redact in the snippet text.
What about the other person in my chat? Did they consent?
Consent for chat-based gifts is a known gray area. Our position: you have the legal right to use your own messages and quote yourself; the other person's messages are quoted only on your representation that you have permission. If the other person ever wants their quotes removed, DM us and we honor it within 7 days. We never publicly share customer content.
What happens to the manifest after my order is delivered?
Manifest file is deleted from our drive within 24 hours of delivery confirmation. Cloud storage snapshots purge within 30 days. You can also DM "DELETE MY DATA" to trigger immediate purge — confirmed within 24 hours.
Why did you build it this way? Other services just take chats.
Every privacy-conscious person we talked to said: "the idea is beautiful but I'd never send my chat to a stranger." So we built it to solve the actual objection, not work around it. It's slightly more friction (10 mins curating vs. 30 seconds sending the file), but you stay in control the entire time. Honestly, the curating step is half the fun — you re-read your story while picking the moments you want immortalized.
Is there a printable policy I can show my partner / lawyer?
Yes — DM us "PRINT POLICY" and we send a one-page PDF version of these promises, signed and dated. Useful if your gift recipient or family member wants to review before you proceed.
